A lovely holiday, peaceful and beautiful - very unspoilt.

The Lovedays and Wilks

What a fantastic place - The Mill is certainly unique and has the 'wow' factor when you walk in. Loved the swimming pool, especially when sharing it with the birds that join you for a drink in the early evening. Recommendations for future Guests include a day trip to Elefonissi (stunning beach), Falasarna (good for snorkelling), Georgioupolis (a small resort about 30min east of Hania, do the pedalo trip up the river to see the turtles) and Balos Beach (can be accessed by car and down about 500 steps, or a day trip by boat from Kastelli).

For restaurants, try 'Mylos' in Platanious, amazing décor, great ambiance and of course excellent menu and food

The Mill was amazing, we had so much fun seeing all the bats flying around the swimming pool at night but the insects outside were very noisy! Paleochora beach was amazing, we cold see all the fish under the water. The Mill has a great atmosphere, and we all had a great time.

The striking features of The Mill are its location, near and yet far from the madding tourist crowds, the swimming pool and terraces which give a full view to the north free of unwanted features. The location of The Mill is perfect for exploring the west of Crete .

The Mill provided an excellent base for exploring this part of Crete . Brilliant place to stay. The mill is a very lovely building with lots of character. A cracking spot that we're very glad to have found and we feel privileged to have used. Great swimming pool too The Welcome hamper was indeed very welcome. A great holiday, with 65 bird species spotted on our various expeditions.
